Weight Loss is There a Good Program Out There

What do you reflect of all those commercials on how to loose weight? . Wow there are a thousand and one of these commercials on the television, internet and almost every magazine you purchase up. Do you really think that they work?

Years ago there was a weight loss clinic called just that “The Weight Loss Clinic” their approach to weight loss was a 500 calorie diet. You could not intake more than 500 calories in a day. I know about this diet as I was on it for approximately 6 months. I lost 100 pounds. Yes I went down to 92 pounds, I also ended up hospitalized for malnutrition and starvation. I went to daily weigh ins and talked with a counselor each day of the week for the first month then it was every other week. The encouraged me to go on and on, not telling me anything about how to raise the calories and to launch eating true. This clinic is no longer available.

Then there is Jenny Craig, they are not so unpleasant bad, my daughter and I both actually joined them a few years back. I paid the astronomical entrance fee for the two of us and then we purchased the food weekly when we met with our counselor. This price mark ran around $250.00 a week for the two of us. I did notice that most of their meals were of the Italian food style, probably because this gives you a great deal of spicy flavor. We both lost a minimal amount of weight on this diet and spent a whole lot of money. But, if you are diligent you can loose weight. It is the maintenance that becomes tricky and also if you go out to lunch or dinner during your life it is difficult to gage the amount of food you should intake. Most restaurants do not adhere to the Jenny Craig diet notion.

There are hundreds upon hundreds of weight loss gimmicks online. Lets see there is Phentermine Diet Pills for $93.00 for a 3 month supply, NutriSystem program, this is similar to Jenny Craig as you must order their foods and pay for them. They advertise that the meals are about $10.00 a day. There is Lipovox for $69.00 for 30 day supply, Ephedrasil for about $53.80 per 30 day supply, Hoodi Gordonii for $29.99 for 30 day supply, and thousands more. Including the new Alli which is suppose to be doctor approved. This weight loss understanding is a pill that apparently blocks the pudgy in your system after you have eaten it. Unfortunately one of the side affects of Alli is runny discharge from you rectum if you intake more than 15 grams of fat per meal. This diet pill is actually FDA approved.

There is the LA Weight Loss Plan this too is a plan that provides you with counseling and prepared meals. They also provide supplements and a supplemental and fat replacement pill. Snacks and decadent creamy sweet bars and drinks are available also.

Last, you have the most advertised Weight Watchers. Now most of these weight loss plans like Jenny Craig and LA Weight loss have websites, so does Weight Watchers. What Weight Watchers has that is different is group meetings in local areas. My daughter and I both tried Weight Watchers also. This appeared to be a healthy arrangement to loose weight, we were able to loose several pounds on this plan. Weight Watchers has two programs, the Flex Plan based on a point system that allows you to make better choices in what you eat. And the Core Notion, that gives you positive food groups you can eat and the portions you can intake. All reports from customers of Weight Watchers seem to focus on the fact that this plan is a life saving, life changing plan. Most customers state that they learned healthy eating habits and were able to remove the weight and support it off. We found the meetings were quite beneficial as they are chaired by a person who actually is a member of Weight Watchers. They have all battled the bulge and accomplished their goals. There are perks when you meet your goals, nothing expensive but, you are given these perks and little awards in a group setting and it makes you feel amazing to receive these awards. The website is easy to use and move around on and is quite educational, with recipes and different examples of things you can try to reach your goal. There is also testimonies from thousands of people who have met their goals on the system.

Personally my daughter lost 80 pounds and I lost 60 pounds total in a little over a year. This was an improbable accomplishment since we have both been overweight most of our lives.

Loosing weight not only helps with medical problems that I personally suffer from such as diabetes (I was insulin dependent now am not on insulin at all), heart disease (having had 3 stents placed in December am now living like I want), but we both are more physically active since the weight loss. Our lives are better in many ways and we attribute this in part to our own commitment to this plan and to the helpful people of Weight Watchers.

Weight loss is a way of life, you must be attentive to loosing weight, keep yourself vigilant and always on your toes. Eat healthy food’s and construct healthy choices, this is not always easy but, if you try every day you will find that it becomes a normal way of life for you over time. Weight Watchers may not be the plan for you, but be sure that you don’t get sucked into the scams that are out there by the thousands.
