I have a one yr old baby and want to lose about 25 lbs. What is the best exercise for weight loss? I have the P90X but can't get around to trying it. Also, I want to buy a treadmill since I don't exactly have all the time in the world to go to a gym. I work full time and have a 1 1/2 hour commute each way. Any ideas. Well, I have your answer. The way to do that is to include protein and fiber during your breakfast. The protein and fiber will help you control your hunger all day long and keep your metabolism running high. 5. Take an evening walk – You want to discover ways to be more active and burn more calories. Taking a walk each evening is the easiest way to do this. It doesn't have to be long. Even 30 minutes will work wonders and help you flatten your stomach and burn abs fat. 6. Strength workouts are an excellent way to boost your metabolism and to lose belly fat. You don't have to work solely your abs. Even if you work your legs, you're still burning off fat from your whole body. 3 workouts each week ought to be sufficient to get amazing results. 7. Eat more fruit and vegetables – Not only are these rich in fiber but they also help you avoid temptation of more calorific foods like candy, chocolate, and so on. I'mprove your health by eating 3-5 pieces of fruit and vegetable each single day. 8. Get an abs program – Why crawl toward your goal when someone can teach you how to walk and then run? Of course, abs programs do cost some money but the time and effort they save you is well worth the investment. Just be as active as you can – Even if it's merely walking when you normally drive, taking the stairs, playing with your kids, taking up an active hobby. What are cravings? A craving is when your body pushes you to want a particular food ingredient. This can occur even when you are not hungry. When you finally give in and get the food, you almost always binge, that is, eat more than you would have if you did not have the cravings in the first place. For the most part, you body is probably asking for water, but out of bad habit you might turn to fatty fast foods to fill the gap.

There is an area of the brain that controls what and how much you eat. It is also responsible for creating cravings as a way for you to provide the body what it needs.

So, what is the best way to avoid cravings? First and foremost, the best way to avoid cravings is by eating all the required food ingredients. The key is that in all of the food groups, there are "good" types and "not so good" types of foods. You need to know the good types and eat only those. For example, with carbohydrates, good types (in general) are the ones with a low glycemic index (GI). GI is a measure of how fast a food increases the production of insulin. Insulin causes fat buildup. Whole grains and vegetables have low GIs and therefore are good for weight loss.

By understanding the weight loss concept of eating all of the essential foods and dividing them into "good" and "not so good" foods, you will avoid cravings and overeating.



1200 Calorie Diet Plan

I'm 15 : 5'2 and weigh 124lb. Is it safe to do this 1200 calorie diet plan? I also do light cardio exercising ; 12 mins of runnin/ 10 mins of jogging , 60-120 mins before eating. I also did a BMI & BMR. My BMI is a 20 something and my BMR is around 1400 cal intake. So if I want to lose about 20lbs by just doing the 1200 cal. Diet thing will it be okay and safe? I read a couple other 1200 cal diet plan and some people say its okay and some say its not. But then again I'm just doing approx. 200 cal. Less then my BMR. So what do you guys think?? Thanks in advance for any advice. Today I found out that… I do not believe that this diet is healthy at all. You need to get the appropriate nutrition for your growing body. Before embarking on any kind of radical diet like this you should consult your physician. Seriously, this is a really low calorie diet for such a young and already thin girl. I think that 1800 calories is low enough, but again, you need to talk to your doctor. If you want to lose some weight you are going to have to be patient. Those last few "vanity" pounds are really hard to take off, and it isn't safe for a girl your size to lose more than 1-2 pounds a week. Eat healthy, lots of veggies, and cut out sugar, sodas, fast foods, fried foods, etc. And exercise regularly and you will lose the weight slowly and safely over time. Good Luck.
